Katherine Sunshine Scruggs

Memorial services for Mrs. Sunshine Scruggs, 93, will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Follis Chapel. Visitation will be held prior from 1 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Scruggs passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at AHC Avondale in Humboldt, Tenn.

She was born in Gibson, Tenn. to the late Henry H. Hensley and Estelle (Price) Hensley.

Mrs. Scruggs was retired from Trenton Special School District and was a longtime member of Follis Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Finis Scruggs; and siblings, Wayne Hensley, Almeda Harris and Marie Patterson.

Mrs. Scruggs is survived by her daughter, Sheila Cupples and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Brad Scruggs and wife Diane, and Alisha Jamieson; five great-grandchildren, Shanna Nelson, Hanna Griggs, Bradley Jamieson, Zach Scruggs and David Jamieson; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
