Helen Ruth Woods Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Ruth Woods Moore, 89, were held at 1 were on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Jake Fry officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Moore, lovingly known as Mama Helen, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the Christian Care Center of Medina.

She was born in Humphreys County to the late Edd L. and Marie C. Woods. She married her loving husband, Morris W. Moore, on May 31, 1952.

Mrs. Moore loved God, church and her family and was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Humboldt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Moore; parents Edd and Marie Woods; a son, Michael Moore; a sister, Wilma Pecoraro; and a brother, Tony Woods.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her four children, Lynn Moore (Jodi), Debbie Luckey (Mike), Gary Moore (Cheryl) and Pat Moore (Donna); two sisters, Claudene Lovett and Barbara Mitchell; a brother, Larry Woods; nine grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren.

Pallbearers to serve were Billy Luckey, Patrick Draper, Jason Moore, Brandon Moore, Kerry Kuykendall and Bradley Moore.
