Milan City Council Meeting

REGULAR MEETING

November 18, 2024 – The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of Milan, Missouri met for a regular meeting at the Milan City Hall, 212 E. 2nd Street on November 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. with the following Aldermen present: Darin Tucker, Randy McCollum, Ed Reger, Rebecca Bennett, Richard Head and Lesa Smith. Also present: Mayor Andy Herington, City Clerk Lisa Sharp, City Administrator Crystal Bupp and Water/Sewer Supervisor Jeremy Bennett.

Mayor ProTem called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

Motion by Tucker, seconded by Bennett to approve the minutes. Vote: Tucker – yes, McCollum – yes, Reger – yes, Bennett – abstains, Head – yes, Smith – yes.

Motion by Smith, seconded by Reger to approve the bills. Discussion followed. Mayor Herington arrived during the discussion. Vote: McCollum – abstains, Reger – yes, Bennett – yes, Head – yes, Smith – yes, Tucker – yes.

Motion by Bennett, seconded by Smith to close the square for the Christmas kickoff on December 7. Vote: Reger – yes, Bennett – yes, Head – yes, Smith – yes, Tucker – yes, McCollum – yes.

Discussion was held about repairing the wall in city hall. Several options were discussed. No action was taken.

Discussion was held about the swimming pool. No action was taken.

Brief discussion was held about potholes on Pearl Street and Spring Street during the alderman business.

Motion by McCollum, seconded by Tucker to adjourn. Vote: Bennett – yes, Head – yes, Smith – yes, Tucker – yes, McCollum – yes, Reger – yes.
