Robert Hill

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Hill, 79, were held Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 12 p.m. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hemann officiating. Burial followed in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads with full military honors.

Mr. Hill passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Humboldt, Tenn. to the late Jessie and Ruby Joyce Hill.

After his school years, Mr. Hill joined the U.S. Navy where he would spend 30 years before retiring. During this time he served his country in Vietnam and was awarded for his service to country. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a welder at Devilbiss in Jackson. He enjoyed bowling, playing on the computer, eating (known to his family as “my little fat buddy”) and all who knew him knew he loved all his family dearly.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death his brothers, Jessie Hill Jr., Billy Hill, Danny Hill, Tommy Hill and Edward Hill; sisters, Martha Baker and Patsy Landers; grandchildren, Alana Hudson and Jennifer Hudson; and great-grandchild, Amado Walton.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vickie Webb Hill; sons, Michael Hill, Robert Hill Jr. and wife Christy, David Hill Figueroa and wife Tyra, Douglas Pickard and wife Cecilly; daughters, Dawn Raymo and husband Todd, Celinda Bell and husband Don, D’Angela Fowler and husband William, Melony Hudson and husband Robert; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either the cancer organization or veterans organization of your choice.

Arrangements were entrusted to Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home, Medina.
