Weakley County High School Football Pick’em: Quarterfinals

Westview’s CD Damron (7) runs with the ball against Westmoreland during the second round of the Class 3A high school football playoffs at Hardy Graham Stadium on Nov. 14, 2025.
Well, the Weakley County teams in the postseason took a hit this week with Dresden and Greenfield both being eliminated.
But there is one county team still alive – Westview. And the Chargers have their sights set on a gold ball.
I went 2-1 last week with my picks in Weakley County as I missed Dresden’s loss to Fayetteville. So for the season, I am 35-7 (.833 winning percentage) when picking country games.
Outside of the county, I only missed one other game as I didn’t get Marshall County’s win over Dyer County correct, making me 13-2 on the week.
Overall for the season, I am 142-45 (.759) in picking games around West Tennessee.
So here is hoping that Weakley County football stays alive this Friday:
Melrose (10-1) at Westview (11-0)
Both of these teams had state-runner-up finishes last year as the Chargers were runner-up behind Alcoa in Class 3A, while Melrose was runner-up in Class 4A behind Macon County.
