The Putnam County Bank received first place with their delightful winter scene in the business decorating category at the Milan Christmas Kickoff held Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Receiving second place in the business category was Verimore Bank with a window decoration of Nutcrackers and the North Pole.Sullivan County Title Company took third place in the business category with their 90’s festive collage.Morgan and Nick Smith, 219 South Market, Milan, received first place in the residential division in the Christmas Kickoff Decorating Contest.Blake and Brittani Maulsby, who live south of Milan, received second place in the residential with their Christmas scene.Receiving third place was Wes and Cyndy Brummitt, who live east of Milan. Frosty The Snowman greets people.The float of Maulsby’s, Mosley’s, Weter’s and Weaver’s with their high flying reindeer pulling the sleigh won first in the float division in the Christmas Kickoff contest.Maulsby Enterprises received second place with the Elves helping Santa pull his sleigh.Simmons Animal Nutrition won third in the float catagory with their blow-up dogs and puppies.
