Larry David Shelton
Larry David Shelton, 73, of Humboldt, formerly of Paducah, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Dyer Nursing Home in Dyer, Tenn..
Mr. Shelton retired from USEC, but spent many years of his life working and teaching industrial arts. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors. However, his greatest joy in life was serving the Lord and loving his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita Shelton; three children, Larry Brian Shelton, Brittany (Scott) Kraemer, and Bethany (Scott) Cockrum; two sisters, Belvie Turner and Bonnie (Larry) Payne; five grandchildren, Gracie Brown, Trenton Brown, Brinna Kraemer, Anabell Cockrum and Isaac Cockrum.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, David and Wanda Sue Shelton.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Strong and Rev. Roger Whetstone officiating. Burial will follow.
Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah, Ky.
