I found out only a couple of weeks ago that Jean had passed away after my absence from Facebook. I deeply regret not being there for the family and send my sincerest sympathy to James, Andy, John and families. My friendship with Jean goes way back to our early childhood, continued throughout our “growing up” years in Humboldt schools and First Baptist Church, Humboldt. Jean was one of the smartest, most talented people I’ve ever known. Whether she was excelling in the classroom, showing her musical abilities in band or playing pranks during church youth camp, there was never a dull moment when she was around. I cherish those times and will miss seeing her at Class of ’67 get togethers. Jean will always be a bright spot in my life!
