FIFTH IN STATE
The Peabody High School Band of Gold placed fifth out of 24 bands at the State Division I Contest held Saturday at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro. Due to the large amount of rainfall Friday and Saturday, the Riverdale High School directors opted to move the preliminary competition indoors and forego finals. However, the 10 bands that would have moved on voted 6-4 to perform indoors for finals to ensure an accurate ranking of the competing bands.
