South Side boys join West Tennessee Basketball Rankings after Week 9

Through the years, South Side boys have been consistently among the best programs in West Tennessee.

But the Hawks took some losses early in the season to question how good this year’s team could be. Well, South Side gave some answers this past week as the team beat one-loss North Side before avenging an earlier loss to University School of Jackson with a 17-point win with those two games coming on consecutive days.

There are only four more weeks remaining in the regular season before postseason play begins, so now is when the best teams are starting to show just how good they have the potential to be.

Here are the top 15 high school basketball teams going into Week 10 of the season:

BOYS

1. Peabody (18-1) – Results: Beat Madison 71-52; Beat Union City 58-48. This week: Tuesday vs. Westview; Friday vs. Gibson County. Last week: No. 1.
