Well, Week 4 was a perfect 3-0 for me in picking Weakley County games. If only I could have had a perfect record in all of my picks.

I improved to 10-4 (.715 winning percentage) with my Weakley County picks this season.

I went 11-4 overall last week, missing South Side’s win over South Gibson, Lexington’s win over North Side, Dyer County’s win over Crockett County and Millington’s win over Fayette-Ware.

Through four weeks of the season, I am now 42-18 (.700).

Here is hoping I continue to climb the ladder in Week 5:

Ripley (0-4) at Dresden (2-2)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Dresden coach Justin Cruse came from Ripley when he took the job with the Lions. Ripley scored its first touchdown last week, so the Dresden will try to keep them out of the end zone this week.

Westview (3-0, 1-0 7-3A) at McNairy Central (1-3, 0-1)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The Chargers shouldn’t have any problem beating a Bobcat team that is trying to rebuild under second-year head coach Justin Truett.

Gleason (1-3, 0-1 7-1A) at Lake County (2-1, 0-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The Falcons are coming off a bye week, so the Bulldogs need to flush last week’s loss out of the system and focus on picking up the first District 7-1A victory of the season.

Fulton County (Ky.) (0-4) at Greenfield (1-3)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

This will be the fourth Tennessee opponent that the Pilots have played this season, and Gleason, South Fulton and Bruceton all picked up wins. Last week’s game against Bruceton was stopped early due to safety concerns.
