This is one of those weeks where I will take it that my picks are better, but they are not where they should be.

After two straight weeks of going 10-5, I went 11-4 last week.

I went 3-1 in my Weakley County picks with my miss being Greenfield’s one-point loss to Bruceton.

Outside of the county, I missed Milan’s win over Huntingdon, South Fulton’s win over Humboldt and St. Benedict’s win over Fayette Academy.

On the year, I am now 31-14 (.689 winning percentage) with a 7-4 mark with my Weakley County picks.

Here is hoping for an even better record in Week 4:

Dresden (2-1, 1-0 7-1A) at Gleason (1-2, 0-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Let the Weakley County rivalries begin! Gleason has played well the past two weeks, but it hasn’t been enough to earn wins. Dresden picked up its first win of the season last week over West Carroll. The Lions will try to ride that momentum for a second region win.

South Fulton (2-0, 1-0 7-1A) at Greenfield (1-2, 0-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

So far this season, Greenfield’s two losses have come with a stop at the one-yard line and a two-point conversion to win instead of an extra point to tie. The Yellowjackets need a few things to go right to open the region schedule with a win.

Westview (2-0) at Obion County (3-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Yes, the Chargers play an undefeated Obion County team this week, and they are better than last season. But those wins have come against Gleason, Lake County and Gibson County. Westview will be the best team the Rebels have seen by far.
