Ouch! My Week 1 picks were not up to par, and I bet a bunch of you were able to out pick me. I went 10-5 in the opening week for a .667 winning percentage.

It all started with the Weakley County picks. I went 2-2 as I missed Perry County’s win over Greenfield and Trinity Christian Academy’s win over Dresden.

I also missed Lexington’s win over Bolivar, Huntingdon’s win over McKenzie and North Side’s win over Jackson Central-Merry.

So I am going to put those picks in the rear-view mirror and hope for better results in Week 2:

Bruceton (1-0) at Gleason (1-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The Bulldogs’ offense pushed them to an opening win over Fulton County (Ky.), and the hope is that the offense can keep things rolling this week in the home opener.

Dresden (0-1) at McKenzie (0-1)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The holes were shown last week as Huntingdon beat the Rebels by 20 points, but can Dresden repeat those feats? The Lions must rebound from a close loss to TCA when they had chances to pull out the win.

Greenfield (0-1) at Stewart County (0-1)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The Rebels are coming off a 37-point loss last week, while Greenfield played tough with a quality Perry County side. The Yellowjackets will try to learn from Week 1 and be ready to get back to winning ways.
