DTF Agents raid Medina home
Agents with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force raided a Medina home Tuesday morning, Dec. 11 about 10:20 a.m. and discovered over 100 vials of illegal weight loss drugs.
After the search of 355 Saddlebrooke, Emily Brooke Arnold, 41, was arrested and charged with Impersonating a licensed professional, reckless endangerment, money laundering, criminal simulation, and possession, selling, barter and giving away illegal drugs. She is being held in the Gibson County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
Agents executed the search warrant after obtaining information that Arnold was selling and distributing multiple weight loss drugs that were not FDA approved. In her home, they found more than 100 vials of different peptides used as a weight loss drugs.
Agents located vials of Tirzepatide, Retatutide, and Semaglutide along with other Peptides. Agents located hypodermic needles, packaging materials, homemade labels, instructions on different shots and where to administer them as well as other materials of information about the shots themselves.
According to the arrest warrant, Ms. Arnold would give instructions regarding the shots and give persons buying the shots medical advice about the shots.
It was found during the investigation that Arnold does not hold any medical license or professional license.
Undercover agents also made two purchases of Tirzepatide from Arnold from her residence and sent samples to a company in Indiana for testing. Test results determined that there were not any traces of Tirzepatide or Semaglutide in the drugs. While speaking with Arnold about the shots, the agents were not asked any questions and no physicals or bloodwork was conducted prior to her selling the shots. The first purchase of the shots was sold to an undercover agent and contained seven (7) pre-pulled hypodermic syringes that contained a liquid that was sold as Tirzepatide. The syringes were placed in a zip lock bag and put into a medical type of bag with a homemade label giving directions. These shots were in no way placed in a manner to keep the syringes from becoming contaminated as you would find in a medical office.
It was also determined that Arnold was selling cases of different named peptides to the Medina Weight Loss and Wellness Clinic on a weekly basis. This clinic also is part owner in a clinic in Brownsville TN, known as Haywood Weight Loss and Wellness Clinic. These clinics were dispersing the shots to patients in both communities.
It was determined that Arnold was operating an illegal business selling legend drugs from the black-market and used the proceeds from that illegal business to further market the legend drugs.
The case remains under investigation.
