I raise my white flag. I surrender. My picks from Week 11 had six misses.

So Victor Parkins, you win. After winning the pick’em contest in 2023, it looks like Parkins will hold the trophy this year.

So, can we reset for the playoffs? I mean ask any football coach, and they will say, “All records are out the door in the playoffs. We all reset with a 0-0 record.”

So my new goal, take down Parkins over the next four to five weeks and win the playoffs. So, Victor… It’s on!

Parkins went 12-2 last week with his picks, while I was 8-6. We both missed South Side’s win over South Gibson and Dyer County’s win over Haywood. We differed on four picks, and I got all four wrong with Huntingdon’s win over Peabody, Westview’s win over Covington, Chester County’s win over North Side and USJ’s win over Lausanne.

So overall, Parkins is 133-27 (.831 winning percentage), while I am now 125-35 (.781), as Parkins now leads by eight games.

But now let’s focus on the playoffs:

Lewis County (6-4) at Milan (9-1)

This is a rematch of last year’s first round game, but that one was in Hohenwald. I see Jaydon Peete having another big game to help the Bulldogs to the second round.
