Early Voting ends Thursday

If you haven’t voted yet, your chances to make your voice heard in the 2024 General Election are running out.

Tennessee’s Early Voting period will end this Thursday, October 31, at 6 p.m., leaving only Election Day polling on November 5 for those that want to help shape the future of our cities and our country.

Voters continued to make their way to the polls last week, with an additional 5,688 ballots being cast from Monday, October 21, through Saturday, October 26: 2,699 in Medina, 2,217 in Trenton and 527 in Rutherford.

There were also 22 property rights voters, 61 mail-in ballots and 162 votes cast by nursing home residents.

So far, 10,055 Gibson County residents and property owners have voted, increasing the turnout to almost 32 percent participation for the 2024 General Election.

Early Voting will continue at Gibson County’s three Early Voting locations, the Ed Jones Agri-Plex in Trenton, Rutherford City Hall and Medina City Hall, through this Thursday. Polls open at 11 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

On Election Day, polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters with questions about their Election Day polling location or other important information should call the Gibson County Election Commission office at 731-855-7669. Remember to bring your Federal or Tennessee government-issued photo identification when appearing to vote. Removing campaign signs or other items from public or private property is a crime. Doing so on private property can carry a charge for trespassing, or worse.
