Welfare check Results in Drug Bust in Medina
On July 19th, officers from the Medina Police Department accompanied the Department of Children’s services to do a welfare check on children residing at 28 Rae Cove in Medina.
Tarrant Adam Snead, age 38, Emily Martin, age 25 and a two year old child were present at the home when officers arrived. Mr. Snead gave verbal consent to the officers to search the home after officers observed a strong scent of marijuana.
Officers found approximately one pound and 2.8 onces of marijuana along with a marijuana plant and evidence of methamphetamines in the bedroom and bathroom of the resident. The officers also found two loaded handguns and other ammunition along with drug paraphernalia.
Snead and Martin were arrested on charges of possesion of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, distribute or resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated child abuse and neglect.
