Willis E. Noble and Betty Joyce Noble
A memorial service celebrating the lives of Willis E. “Bud” Noble Sr. and his wife, Betty Joyce Noble (nee Ballentine) will be held in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home chapel in Humboldt, Tenn. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and burial with military honors will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt.
Mr. and Mrs. Noble were married on December 27, 1952 in Corinth, Miss. The Nobles lived in Dupo, Ill. until retiring to Humboldt in 1992 where they enjoyed the company of family, friends and pets. Mr. Noble, born September 22, 1930, served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1952. He worked as a millwright at Cerro Copper and Brass in Sauget, Ill. for 40 years. Mr. Noble passed peacefully at The Bridge Assisted Living in North Charleston, S.C. on April 20, 2020.
Mrs. Noble, born July 2, 1931, was a housewife and worked as a pharmacy technician for Reese Drugs for 20 years. Mrs. Noble passed in her sleep at White Oak Manor in North Charleston, S.C. on May 8, 2021.
Mr. and Mrs. Noble are survived by a son, Willis E. Noble Jr. and his wife Cathy of Summerville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Whaley; and three great-granddaughters, Riley, Ava and Maddie of Huntsville, Ala.
Mr. and Mrs. Noble are survived by three generations nieces and nephews in Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Oklahoma. Mrs. Noble is also survived by brothers, Jere (Joel), Bobby (Bonnie) and Larry (Alice) Ballentine.
