Harold Franklin Hammonds

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Hammonds, 82 were held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Smyrna Baptist Church with Bro. David Powell and Bro. Mike Kemper officiating. Burial followed in Gibson County Memory Gardens.

Mr. Hammonds, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at NHC in Milan surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Madison County, Tenn. to the late Hubert William Hammonds and Naomi Foust Hammonds. Mr. Harold was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church for 44 years where he served on many church committees as a deacon and member of the mixed adult Sunday school class.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lonnie, Johnny and Shermon Hammonds.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gloria Combs Hammonds; daughter, Kandi Ellis and husband Daniel; grandchildren, Mercedes, Caiden and Byron Ellis; cousins, Don Terry and Ricky Harris; nephew, Howard Hammonds.

Honoring Mr. Harold as pallbearers were James Brisentine, Joe Evans Jr., Lawson Evans, Daniel Ellis, Ricky Harris and Randy Combs Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Smyrna Baptist Church, 16 Dollar Road, Humboldt, TN 38343.

Arrangements were entrusted to Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home, Medina.
