As the famous Kool and the Gang song goes, “There’s a party going on right here…Celebrate good times come on”, the same could be said for a Humboldt celebration for a good cause. The annual Humboldt Healthcare Foundation Dinner and Auction is next week.

You will not want to miss this event on Thursday, June 13 at the Gathering Place at Sugar Creek. The party gets started at 6 p.m.

“This years Gala theme will be 70s Disco Fever,” said Brad Webster, president of the Humboldt Foundation. “The board wants the event to be fun and relaxed. Wear your bellbottom pants, big collar shirts, leisure suits, etc. or come as you wish. Feel free to dance to 70s music played during the event.  There will be a costume contest for the best 70s style.”

Along with some “cool vibes” of the 70s, guests will enjoy a buffet style dinner. After the meal, there will be a live auction with several items on the block for luck bidders. All funds raised during the dinner and auction will be used for some very worthy causes within the Humboldt community.

The Humboldt Healthcare Foundation is a 501(c)3. All donations are tax deductible. The foundation is active in providing services and filling the needs for Humboldt’s citizens.

Humboldt Healthcare Foundation was independently formed with a mission of providing support for healthcare, the arts and educational services to enhance the quality of life in the community they serve.

“The foundation has an awesome group of board of directors,” Webster said. “This board works all year round to put on the gala, offer scholarships and provide health related services to those most in need. The board is grateful for all of the gala table sponsors, donation sponsors and auction item sponsors. Without them, the Humboldt Healthcare Foundation could not exist.”
