Shivers seeks re-election as Ward 1 city alderman

With the city elections quickly approaching, James R. Shivers has announced his candidacy for re-election as alderman of Ward 1.

His plan, upon re-election is to take to heart each and every concern the residents have and present those concerns to the city board.

“Our concerns can only be carried out, taken seriously and brought to fruition through our active involvement and support,” he said.

Shivers says he believes that citizens’ presence at city meetings is very important.

As a reminder, Shivers noted that city meetings are held on the second Monday of each month (barring unforeseen occurrences).

Election day is Nov. 7.

“Being present is proper and the most effective way to get things done in Ward 1. Your vote for me, James R. Shivers, Alderman, Ward 1 will be greatly appreciated,” the candidate added.
