Ms. Black Gibson Co. slated April 15

Ms. Black Gibson Co. Dezaree’ Bailey will crown her successor next week.

The staff of the Ms. Black Gibson County Scholarship Pageant is pleased to announce the 23rd Annual Miss Black Gibson County Scholarship Pageant Saturday, April 15, 2017, at 6 p.m. in the former Humboldt Jr. High School gymnasium (1021 N. 20th). The theme for this year’s pageant is “Fame: Born with Potential, Destined for Greatness”.

Please join the reigning 2016 Miss Black Gibson County Dezaree’ Bailey, a 2016 Peabody High School graduate and a current University of Tennessee at Martin freshman, as she bids her farewell.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. All proceeds go toward the scholarships of the winners.

The 2017 contestants in no particular order are: from Gibson County High School, Kerrington Bond and Madison Fussell; from Humboldt High School, Charisma Cole, Chelsia Harper, Nikala Lewis, DeShanta Mann, Jurnee Marable, Yasmine Sowell and Destiny Williamson; from Milan High School, Devonna Holt and MiKaylia Pettigrew; from South Gibson County High School, Kyla Poston; and from Trenton Peabody High School, Terralyn Elam, Keangelique Jackson and Desaraee’ Williamson.
