Rev. Ruby L. Mullins Moore
Rev. Ruby L. Mullins Moore, a loving mother, grandmother, friend and a servant of the Lord, departed this life to be with her Savior on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
On May 27, 1918 she was born to George and Willie Merriweather in Crockett County, Tenn. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age at Fairview CME Church in Bells, Tenn. She loved the Lord and lived her life telling others about the goodness of God. She later joined the Holsey Chapel CME Church and was faithful in serving and teaching at Holsey, throughout the district and wherever the Lord led her to preach the Gospel until her health failed. Amazing Grace was one of her favorite songs that touched her heart and whenever she heard it, she would rejoice in the Lord.
Rev. Mullins was united in marriage to Br. T.J. Mullins and God blessed her with seven children. She was preceded in death by her siblings Herland , James, TJ, Sammie and Alberta Merriweather and three of her children also preceded her in death Faye, Jerry and Marvin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her children, Gertie Mullins of Memphis, Tenn., Dennis (Yvonne) Mullins of Saginaw, Mich., Willie Maie Cameron of Belles, Tenn. and Gloria Millender of Gautier, Miss.; her special family, The Lashlees of Humboldt, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
