Humboldt enters West Tennessee Football Rankings after Week 2

Before last Friday, the last time that Humboldt beat Peabody was in 2011. Dan Bland was coaching the Vikings back then as they earned a 35-14 victory. The Golden Tide won 12 straight after that loss.

The rivalry was rekindled, and Humboldt improved to 2-0. The Vikings are also into the West Tennessee High School Football Rankings for the first time.

Week 3 brings region play, which means these games mean even more.

So here are the new West Tennessee High School Football Rankings after Week 2 action:

1. Westview (2-0) – Result: Beat Compass Prep (Ariz.) 56-13. This week: Friday vs. Marshall County. Last week: No. 1.

2. Munford (2-0) – Result: Beat Millington 61-0. This week: Home vs. Woodford (Ky.). Last week: No. 2

3. Huntingdon (2-0) – Result: Beat Camden 63-18. This week: Home vs. Milan. Last week: No. 3.

4. McKenzie (1-1) – Result: Beat Dresden 49-13. This week: Home vs. Christian County (Ky.). Last week: No. 5.

5. Milan (2-0) – Result: Beat South Side 13-0. This week: At Huntingdon. Last week: No. 6.
