UPDATED How could the TSSAA high school football playoffs look in November?

Fans across West Tennessee still don’t understand that that football playoffs will look very different this season after changes made by TSSAA during the offseason.

I put my thoughts out preseason on what I thought playoff brackets could look like in West Tennessee, so now I am going to give an update.

The TSSAA made the decision to switch up the playoffs this year with the No. 1 and No. 4 teams from a region staying in the same quad, while the No. 2 and No. 3 teams move into another quad. The purpose is to try and give teams new opponents in the playoffs, so that you aren’t playing the teams from your region in the second round and quarterfinals.

So these are what I believe the playoff brackets will look like this season. The region seeds in the matchups are definitive, but the teams that are in the matchups currently are my opinions. We have 11 weeks of regular season action before the playoff teams will be truly decided.
