Janet Estelle Day Worrell

Ms. Janet Day Worrell, age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Private family services will be held.

Janet was born in Humboldt to the late Lenny Day and Ruby Wyrick Day. She was a graduate of the Humboldt High School class of 1960. Taking care of her home and family brought her a lifetime of joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lynn Worrell; brothers, Wayne Day and Jackie Day; and sister, Jimmie Holt.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Kim (John Paul) Miller; grandchildren, Sarah Beth Worrell and fiancé Ryan Fisher, Anna Grace Worrell, Adam (Mary Elizabeth) Miller, Lauren (Will) Simpson; great-grandchildren, Tucker Simpson and Nash Simpson; and many dear friends and loved ones.
