Wolfpack scores 40 first-half points to beat Middleton

Last season, Rossville Christian top point total was 38 points in a win over West Memphis Christian (Miss.).

The Wolfpack reached that total before halftime in the 2025 season opener as Rossville Christian beat Middleton 53-0.

Rossville Christian (1-0) hosts Fayette Academy on Friday night in Week 2 action.

The Wolfpack finished with 417 yards of total offense in the game with 230 passing and 187 rushing.

Rossville Christian scored 20 points in each of the first quarters for the 40-0 halftime lead.

All three touchdowns in the first quarter were passing touchdowns. Quarterback Landon Parrish hit Carson Hamilton with an 11-yard pass for the 6-0 lead, Parrish hit Kagan Henson with a 42-yard pass with Kalvin Moua converting the two-point conversion and Parrish hit Hamilton for a 40-yard touchdown pass for the 20-0 lead.

The second quarter touchdowns all came on the run. Moua scored on a nine-yard run for the 26-0 lead. Hamilton scored his third touchdown of the game on a 36-yard run with Parrish converting the two-point conversion for the 34-0 lead.

The final touchdown of the half was a one-yard run by Cayson Meadows for the 40-0 lead.

Hamilton scored his fourth touchdown of the game in the third quarter as he caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Parrish for the 46-0 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The final touchdown was scored by Jordyn Davis on a five-yard run with Beaux Watts converting the extra point for the 53-0 win.

Parrish finished the game completing 11-of-16 passes for 230 yards with four touchdowns. Hamilton caught four passes for 89 yards and three touchdowns, Seth Williams had three catches for 56 yards and Henson had two catches for 53 yards and one touchdown.

Meadows led Rossville Christian’s rushing attack with eight carries for 70 yards and one touchdown.

Rossville Christian’s defense held Middleton to 23 yards of total offense, including minus-10 yards rushing.

What to know: After a seven-year hiatus, this Fayette County matchup returns to the field. In the three meetings before the hiatus, Fayette Academy outscored Rossville Christian 139-6, but the Wolfpack’s last win in the series was in 2014. The Wolfpack will bring a stout passing attack that went for 230 yards last week, and that could be a difference maker going against Fayette Academy’s defense. The Vikings held Class 3A McNairy Central scoreless last week.
