Well, Week 11 was not a good week in my picks. It was probably my worst week ever picking high school football.

But as the old adage says, “playoffs are a new season and everyone is 0-0.”

I went 2-1 with my picks involving Weakley County teams, missing Westview’s win over Covington. And coach Matt McConnelll reminded me of that bad pick right after the game.

I went 9-5 overall as I seemed to get every close game wrong. I missed South Side beating South Gibson, Dyer County beating Haywood, Chester County over North Side and USJ over Lausanne along with the Westview miss.

Overall, I am 125-34 (.786 winning percentage) with my picks this season.

Here is hoping the first week of the playoffs brings more wins than last week:

Coming off the biggest game of the season, the fourth-place team from Region 8-3A should be no problem. Look for Westview to roll into the Class 3A second round.
